Meet Akanksha!
Hi, I’m Akanksha Rathod, a physical therapist in Hoboken with over 10 years of experience treating orthopedic conditions, sports injuries, running injuries, and movement-related pain.
I earned my bachelor’s degree in physical therapy from the University of D.A.V.V. and later completed my Master’s in Exercise Science at Long Island University, Brooklyn. Over the years, I’ve worked with patients recovering from frozen shoulder, knee pain, back pain, post-operative conditions, and injuries that often affect runners, athletes, and active adults.
My approach combines hands-on physical therapy, posture assessment, strength training, Pilates-based rehab, and personalized exercise programs. As a certified Pilates teacher and Strength and Conditioning specialist, I look at how your body moves as a whole, not just where the pain shows up.
I’ve also completed additional training in manual therapy, Pilates, and Kinesiotaping, and I continue to learn to give every patient thoughtful, one-on-one care.
Outside the clinic, I enjoy traveling, meditating, and working out. I understand how important it is to stay active, feel strong, and move without pain, and that is exactly what I want to help you get back to.
