Pelvic Floor Therapy in Hoboken
Pelvic floor symptoms are more common than most people realize, and more treatable than most people are told. If you're experiencing pelvic pain, incontinence, or other pelvic floor concerns, we can help.
As a Herman Wallace Level I-certified provider, Nee's PT offers comprehensive pelvic floor physical therapy, including both external and internal techniques, used thoughtfully based on your symptoms and comfort level. We treat pelvic pain, vaginismus, coccydynia, urinary and stress incontinence, dysuria, frequency, painful intercourse, and the full range of pre- and post-partum recovery through an orthopedic lens that connects what's happening in the pelvic floor to what's happening in your hips, low back, and breath.

Abdominal separation after pregnancy can affect core strength, posture, low back pain, and pelvic floor function. Rehab helps rebuild deep core coordination and safely reload the abdominal wall.
Scar tissue, tightness, pulling, or abdominal discomfort can continue after the incision has healed. Treatment may include scar mobility work, fascia-focused care, breathwork, and return to movement.
Pain with penetration, deep pelvic pain, burning, tightness, or discomfort after intercourse may be linked to pelvic floor tension, scar tissue, childbirth, surgery, or hormonal changes. Treatment focuses on reducing tension and restoring comfort.
What We Treat
Urinary leakage
(stress, urge, and mixed incontinence)
Leaking with coughing, sneezing, laughing, exercise, or sudden urgency is common and treatable. Pelvic floor physical therapy helps improve bladder control through strength, coordination, breathing, and habit-based strategies.
Diastasis recti
(abdominal separation)
Return to exercise and sport after pregnancy
Whether your goal is running, lifting, yoga, or sport, postpartum physical therapy helps you rebuild strength safely and return without leakage, heaviness, or pain.
Pain after abdominal, gynecological, or C-section surgeries
Painful intercourse
(dyspareunia)
Urinary urgency and frequency
Frequent bathroom trips, sudden urges, or difficulty holding urine can disrupt work, sleep, travel, and exercise. Pelvic floor therapy helps calm overactive patterns and identify lifestyle triggers.
What to Expect in Your First Visit?
01 — We start with your story
Your pelvic floor therapy visit begins with a private conversation about your symptoms, health history, concerns, and goals. We explain the assessment process before anything begins.
02 — We Assess the Whole Picture
We assess your hips, core, breathing, posture, and movement. If an internal pelvic floor assessment is appropriate, Akanksha will explain it, obtain consent, and proceed at your comfort level.
03 — You leave with a clear plan
Before you leave, we explain our findings, outline your treatment plan, and provide simple home exercises if needed.
Why Choose Nee's Physical Therapy
Every session is one-on-one, lasts 60 minutes, and is held in a private room. For pelvic floor work, that pace matters; there's no shortcut to feeling safe enough to do this work.
01. A full hour, every single visit
02. External and internal techniques.
03. Direct access - No referral
Some patients need internal work. Some prefer external. Many benefit from both. We're trained in the full toolkit, and we use what's clinically appropriate, never what's standard. You're informed and in control at every step.
04. An orthopedic lens
05. A return-to-sport mindset
New Jersey is a direct-access state. You can book a pelvic floor evaluation today without seeing a doctor first. We'll verify your insurance benefits before your first visit, so you can start recovery asap!
We treat the whole body. Pelvic floor symptoms don't live in isolation; they're connected to your hips, lower back, ribcage, breath, and your stride. We trace the pattern, not just the symptom.
06. Women-owned & women-led
Akanksha is NSCA CSCS and NASM CES certified, meaning Nee's is one of the few pelvic floor practices in the area that can take you from your six-week post-partum visit all the way back to running, lifting, or racing.
Nee's PT was founded by a woman and built specifically for the kind of care women can't find elsewhere. When you describe a symptom you've been brushing off for years, you'll be heard, not dismissed.
