Insurance & payment
After you book, we'll email you a short intake form. We'll also call your insurance on your behalf to verify your benefits, then email you a summary so you know exactly what to expect — before you arrive.
What should I wear to my appointment?
3
Comfortable clothes you can move in. Athletic wear is ideal. For knee/hip work, shorts are helpful; for shoulder work, a tank top or loose tee works well.
Can I cancel or reschedule?
4
Yes. Please give us 24 hours' notice when possible. Late cancellations under 24 hours may be subject to a fee. We're a small clinic and reserved time we can't fill costs real money.
1
Do you take my insurance?
We're in-network with Aetna, Cigna, Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield, Medicare, and workers' compensation. We verify your benefits before your first visit so there are no surprises. If your insurance isn’t listed, reach out to us, and we can clarify if we can help.
Do I need a referral from my doctor?
2
New Jersey is a direct-access state, which means you can see a physical therapist without a physician's referral for most conditions. Some insurance plans still require one; we check when we verify your benefits.
We can still see you. We'll provide a superbill you can submit to your insurance for reimbursement (most PPO plans reimburse 50–80% of the visit cost). The out-of-pocket rate is available at the time of booking.
Generally no. Wellness services (recovery boots, maintenance manual therapy) are out-of-pocket. PT services for diagnosed conditions are typically covered.

How long is a typical visit?
1
Every session at Nee's is a full 45–60 minutes, 1-on-1 with your physical therapist. Most patients feel a meaningful difference within the first three visits.
How many visits will I need?
2
It depends on the condition. Most of our patients are in the 4–12 visit range. We'll give you an honest estimate after the first visit — and we're interested in getting you out of PT, not keeping you on the schedule.
Will I see the same therapist every time?
3
Yes. Continuity is core to how we practice. You see the same PT for every visit.
Do you offer virtual/telehealth visits?
4
For follow-ups, consultations, and ergonomic reviews — yes. First visits are always in-person.
